Gary Lineker
Former England football star Gary Lineker, 60, has turned an actor and will feature in a TV show. According to British tabloid, The Sun, Linekar will star in Apple TV series, Ted Lasso. The show is about a US football coach who is hired to train a fictional Premier League team, AFC Richmond.
The TV pundit has already shot scenes in south east London with Arsenal great Thierry Henry.
"When Gary was approached to be a part of the show, he absolutely jumped at the chance. Filming took place on Tuesday at One Night Records in Southwark. When it comes to TV, Gary is an old hand so he didn't need much guidance on the day."
"Everyone working on the show told him he was a complete natural. He will be seen in the next series of the show during a scene where assistant coach Beard, played by Brendan Hunt, is imagining he is out for a night. In his dream sequence, Gary is in the nightclub, waving and being really friendly with him," a source told the tabloid.
