Former Tottenham Hotspur player Paulinho faces deportation from the Chinese government after featuring in a betting advertisement with Japanese porn star Tsukasa Aoi.
The Brazilian endured two dismal years at the Premier League club before hastily being shipped off to the Chinese Super League in 2015. Paulinho has enjoyed a reasonably good career with Guangzhou Evergrande, but that has not stopped him from falling into the limelight for the wrong reasons.

The 28-year-old landed into trouble after he was photographed at his home with Tsukasa Aoi, a Japanese adult star. Worse still, he was voluntarily promoting an Asian betting company targeting gamblers in China named Letou.
Paulinho was seemingly unaware that gambling and pornography are officially banned by Chinese law, an issue made worse when one considers he is a married Catholic.
The midfielder may be deported from the country for his offences, although there has been no announcement from the Chinese prosecutors.
