Barcelona super star Lionel Messi's foundation has financed the construction of 20 prefabricated classrooms in war-torn Syria as a donation to UNICEF.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, the classrooms are also fully equipped with solar panels to provide the best environment for learning despite the conflict. The 29-year-old footballer has been a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador since 2010 and had previously called for an end to the war in Syria.
