The Euro 2020 season came to a close with Italy defeating England in a dramatic penalty shootout following a draw at 120 mins at Wembley. Italy and England drew 1-1 with Bonucci and Shaw scoring for their respective teams. Italy would then go on to win the penalty shootout 3-2 to win their second Euro title.
This Euro 2020 edition saw a list of records broken and many set. The most-talked about record would unarguably be Cristiano Ronaldo becoming the leading scorer in Euro history. Let's take a look at some important statistics and records at the recently-concluded Euro 2020 tournament.
1 - Cristiano Ronaldo broke the record for most goals in Euro history during Portugal vs Hungary in the group stage. Ronaldo also scored vs Germany to take his tally to 12. Ronaldo then went on to score a brace in Portugal's 2-2 draw with France. Ronaldo leads the Euros goalscoring list with 14 goals.

2 - Antoine Griezman scored his 7th goal at the Euros and is joint-third highest on the list. He is the second-leading scorer for France and first among active French footballers.
3 - The two own goals by Portugal during their tie against Germany in the group stage are the highest number by a country at the Euros.
4 - With Italy's victory over England in the Euro 2020 final, Roberto Mancini's side broke and set a new record after 82 years. Italy extended their unbeaten run to 34 games -- 25 wins and five draws.

5 -Italy's Jorginho was responsible for 8 interceptions during Italy's semis match vs Spain. He set the record for most interceptions at the Euros in history.
6 - A staggering 11 own goals scored at Euro 2020 - the most in history. Lukas Hradecky, Mats Hummels, Wojciech Szczesny, Ruben Dias, Raphael Guerreiro, Merih Demiral, Martin Dubravka, Simon Kjaer, Juraj Kucka, Pedri and Denis Zakaria were the victims of own goals.

7 - Luka Modric became the youngest (22) and oldest player (35) to score for Croatia at European championships.
8 - At 17 yrs and 246 days, Poland footballer Kacper Kozà Âowski became the youngest footballer to play at the Euros during the Spain vs Poland game.
9 - England's Luke Shaw set a record for the fastest goal at a Euro final when he scored against Italy in the second minute.
10 - A total of 142 goals were scored at the Euro 2020 tournament.
11 - A total of 12 footballers scored a brace at the Euro 2020 with Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema achieving this twice.
12 - Italy and Spain scored the most goals by a team at Euro 2020 with 13 each. Finland, Scotland and Turkey managed just 1 goal, scoring the least.
