Arteta eyes League Cup turnaround for Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has urged his Arsenal flops to lift the gloom around the troubled club by beating West Brom in the League Cup on Wednesday.

Arteta is facing calls for his sacking after Arsenal lost their first two games of the EPL season against Brentford and Chelsea. An embarrassing League Cup exit would pile more pressure on the Gunners boss.

"The approach is to win the game," Arteta said. "Obviously they are hurt, the feeling is tough at the moment, they need some help as well with players coming back because the spirit there is good."
