Anaai D’Souza (right) receives the highest scorer trophy
Striker Anaai D'Souza was in top form, scoring 11 goals, as Mumbai District won the WIFA Inter-District Sub-junior boys U-15 football championship at the RC Patel CBSE School ground, Sripur, Dhule, recently.
In the summit clash, Mumbai beat Thane District 3-0. Skipper Ranvir Chona, Anaai and Samarth Rai scored for the Mumbai side.
Earlier, in the semi-finals, Anaai scored four goals in a 6-1 win over Palghar District.
Ayaansh Mathur and Arssh Gupta added the other goals for Mumbai while Palghar pulled one back through Om Yande.
