Barcelona: Barcelona have been boosted by the return to training of Brazil star Neymar after he completed his recovery from a broken verterbra.

The 22-year-old saw his World Cup campaign ended at the quarter-final stage following a collision with Colombia's Camilo Zuniga at the start of July.

But after just under six weeks of rehabilitation, Neymar joined the rest of his team-mates for full training on Monday, along with new signing Jeremy Mathieu and Xavi, who have both also overcome knocks.

However, new signing Thomas Vermaelen, who arrived at the club from Arsenal on Saturday, didn't train and instead underwent specific physiotherapy work.

Barca begin their quest to win La Liga when they host Elche on August 24, in what will be Luis Enrique's first official match in charge.
