Injured Radamel Falcao out of World Cup

Radamel Falcao has been ruled out for six months due to a ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament in the left knee, it was revealed after scans yesterday. This, effectively, means he will miss the World Cup in Brazil

The Colombian striker went down holding his knee in Monaco's 3-0 win against Chasselay Monts d'or Azergues in Coupe de France. Thereafter he immediately gestured to the sidelines that he need medical attention. He was taken off the pitch on a stretcher.

He had scored the first goal of the game in the 29th minute but went down a little before half-time.
