Struggling FC Goa will be battling to stay relevant and avoid an unwanted distinction in the Indian Super League (ISL) tournament when they face Mumbai City FC here today.
Since the tournament's inception in 2014, no team has gone without winning in the first five matches. Should FC Goa lose or draw against Mumbai, they would become the first team to achieve the dubious distinction. But coach Zico remains confident that they can turn the corner.
"We are playing well. Even in games, which we have lost, we could have had different results. We lost at least two matches largely due to our own mistakes rather than the merits of the other team," Zico said.
