Kerala Blasters FC striker Mark Sifneos may have ended 194 goalless minutes for his side in the fourth season of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), but Rene Muelensteen's team remain winless in the league after Mumbai City FC's late resurgence meant the two sides played out a 1-1 draw in Kochi. Sifneos swept in Rino Anto's cross to give the home side the lead in the 14th minute.

It was Dimitar Berbatov, stellar on the night with his incisive passing from midfield, who threaded a pass through to Anto. The right back didn't make any mistake in picking out Sifneos, who steered the ball past Amrinder Singh as Kochi went a goal up. However, MCFC's Balwant Singh thumped in a low cross from Everton Santos in the 77th-minute to make it 1-1. Earlier, Chennaiyin FC beat FC Pune City 1-0 in Pune. Henrique Sereno scored the match-winner.
