Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli's ex-lover Fanny Neguesha has spoken for the first time publicly about her split with the Italian striker. In an interview with Belgian glossy magazine, Nina, Neguesha said that though her relationship with the maverick footballer is over, she holds no hard feelings for him.

Engaged in March
The couple split last month after getting engaged in March 2013. "It's definitely over between Mario and me. But I want to highlight this: we have no quarrel. I wish Mario all the best in his life and his football career.

If you have loved someone, you can't hate him because a relationship went wrong. I can be deeply disappointed in him, but I don't wish him bad things. If he needs me, I'll be there for him. As a friend," said Neguesha.

Neguesha (24) and Balotelli (24) split in the first week of September after reports claimed that the footballer had an affair with a British model just seven days after his arrival in England.

Balotelli has had a controversial history off the pitch. In February, a DNA test confirmed that he fathered a girl after a relationship with ex-girlfriend Raffaella Fico. The child, Pia, was born in 2012, but Balotelli had refused to accept parental responsibility due to which the test had to be conducted.

For Neguesha though, Balotelli was her first love. "Mario was my first big love. But I hope there's still another big love left for me. I'm still young. One day I want to get married and have kids," said Neguesha, admitting she wasn't ready for all the attention she drew for being a WAG.

Too much attention
"I wasn't prepared for all the attention. In the beginning you're happy when a picture of you goes around the world.

The first few weeks it felt like I'd bought a new dress and everyone was giving me compliments. But then it became an annoying rut. Always being careful what you wear, how you look. It was an enormous pressure," she added.
