Footballers usually throw their jersey to fans after a game but Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon stunned one supporter by giving him his shorts after Wednesday's 0-0 Champions League draw against Barcelona.
Gianluigi Buffon
Buffon, 39, was competing for the first time since his emotional international retirement after Italy's failure to qualify for the World Cup. After the game, Buffon ran to hug Barca's Ivan Rakitic following a social media exchange on the eve of the game when the Croatian had said he'd love to let Buffon take his place at the 2018 World Cup.
After embracing Rakitic, Buffon pulled down his orange shorts (above) and ran to the tunnel in his underwear and threw his shorts into the crowd. "It's always a pleasure and an honour to play against great champions like Ivan Rakitic," Buffon later wrote on Twitter.
