Stunning fencer and Italian model Antonella Fiordelisi apologised to Juventus striker Gonzalo Higuain after claiming he pestered her to post pictures of her back side on social media.

On Thursday, Fiordelisi caused a stir on social media when she posted a screenshot of a private conversation, seemingly with Higuain, reported The Sun.

Fiordelisi wrote: "Higuain, he asks for pictures of my a''e on Twitter…he's sick!" She was then heavily criticised by fans of Higuain, who is reportedly dating blonde beauty Lara Wechsler. Apologising for the posts, Fiordelisi wrote on Facebook: "Just for clarity: I spoke with Higuain a couple of times on Instagram, and our conversations were playful and funny. I did not want to offend him - Higuain is not sick, he has always been polite with me and never inappropriate. I apologise to him, it did not intend to create needless gossip. It was just a joke."
