Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen returned from his holiday after winning the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup with Germany in June and trained alone on Monday.
The Germany international worked out in the Sports City Joan Gamper after arriving from the United States on Sunday, while Barça squad will return to training on August 2, reports Efe.
Ter Stegen will undergo pre-season medical tests on Tuesday, along with Portuguese midfielder Andre Gomes, who will also finish his vacation after competing in the Confederations Cup.
Barcelona landed on Sunday in the Catalan capital after its pre-season tour of the United States and the players will return to training later this week under Spanish coach Ernesto Valverde.
The Catalan team claimed the International Champions Cup last week after winning the three friendlies in the US.
The rest of the squad will return to training on Wednesday to prepare for the pre-season friendly against Gimnastic Tarragona on Friday.
Barcelona will play the final pre-season friendly for the Gamper Trophy against Brazilian club Chapecoense on August 7.
Barca will host La Liga champion Real Madrid on August 13 in the first leg of the Spanish Super Cup, while the second leg will take place on August 16.
