Mayanti Langer is a renowned sports journalist with a leading sports channel and a well-known face in the cricket circuit.

Mayanti Langer anchors major cricket tournaments across the world. She has also hosted other sporting events such as football and Commonwealth Games.

Mayanti Langer was born on February 8, 1985, in Delhi, India to Sanjiv Langer and Mrs. Preminda Langer. Lt. General Rajinder Nath Batra and Mrs. Priyo Batra are her grandparents.

Mayanti Langer spent most of her childhood in the United States where she was raised in a strict atmosphere as her grandfather was a Lt. General in the Indian Army while her mother is a renowned school teacher.

Mayanti's father Sanjiv Langer has worked with the United Nation (UN). Mayanti Langer attended Hindu College, University of Delhi and successfully completed her B.A (Hons).

Since childhood, Mayanti loved to play football and played it at the school level and also trained at the Super Soccer Academy, Delhi.

After that, Mayanti Langer aspired to be a graphic designer but after an experiment as a sports anchor at the 'FIFA Beach Football', Mayanti decided to be an anchor.

Mayanti Langer has hosted the 2011 and 2015 Cricket World Cup, 2014 Indian Super League, 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2010 Commonwealth Games. She also anchored the 2018 IPL season.

Mayanti Langer developed an interest in football when she was in the U.S and is currently considered as one of the leading prominent female sports journalists in India.

Mayanti Langer married Indian cricketer Stuart Binny in September 2012, and have been one of the most talked-about couples in Indian sport ever since.

Stuart Binny is the son of former Indian cricketer Roger Binny. He has played as an all-rounder for the Indian national side in international matches, and has also featured for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.

After a short stint as guest anchor for FIFA beach football, Mayanti Langer was offered a spot as host and associate producer for a sports channel.

Mayanti Langer then went on to work for various football shows on the sports network providing commentary and interviews during pre-match, half-time and post-match shows. She was also the anchor on a channel for the Nehru Cup football tournament held in New Delhi at the Ambedkar Stadium. She worked as an anchor for coverage of the Indian Cricket League.

Mayanti Langer has always managed to hit back at trolls who have pulled her up for her thigh-high skirts during her anchoring stints in cricket matches.
