Without an iota of doubt, Indian batting mainstay Smriti Mandhana will be one of the most sought-after figures in the second edition of Women’s Premier League. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) broke the bank for the Indian vice-captain who became the most expensive player in the history of WPL during the auction last year. With an added element of leadership in her role, one could witness the best out of the southpaw in this edition.

Known for her dexterity with both bat and ball, Richa Ghosh’s presence of mind behind the stumps could prove vital in her side's attempt to overcome the mightiest of opposition. Besides, she has helped India overcome pressure situations against several quality sides with her unrivalled match-finishing skills.

Even at a tender age, youngster Shafali Verma has been a distinguished batswoman for India in the middle order. Thanks to her ability to thwart pressure and stamp her own authority, Shafali was bought by Delhi Capitals for a mammoth Rs. 1 crore last year. Her primary job up the top order in the Delhi squad will be to dismantle opposition bowlers.

Swashbuckling all-rounder Jemimah Rodrigues will be vital in determining her team’s fate in the Delhi squad. Having registered a stellar record in league cricket, Jemimah will look to spearhead attack in Delhi’s batting lineup.

Indian talismanic captain Harmanpreet Kaur is a dependable performer for her squad, thanks to her aggressive batting and superb off-spin technique. The 33-year-old brings a lot of experience to the table as Alyssa Healy, having played for India in over 270 matches across all forms.
