During the second Test match against New Zealand, Ravichandran Ashwin snapped three wickets in the visitor's first innings. With this, he overhauled Australia's Nathan Lyon to become the leading wicket-taker in the World Test Championship history

Ashwin now has 189 wickets under his belt in 39 WTC matches. He also has 9 four-wicket and 11 five-wicket hauls to his name in the tournament's history

Australia's Nathan Lyon comes second on the list. So far featuring in 43 matches, the spinner has claimed 187 wickets with the best figures if eight wickets fir 64 runs. He has 11 four-wicket and 10 fifers in his account

The third place is in the name of Australian skipper Pat Cummins. In 42 matches, the speedster has taken 175 scalps including 9 four-wicket and 8 five-wicket hauls

Aussies' premier pacer Mitchell Starc holds the fourth place on the list. He has 147 wickets under his name in 38 WTC matches. Having the best figures of six for 66 runs, the pacer also registered 10 four-wicket and 8 five-wicket hauls

Former England pacer Stuart Broad played 33 WTC matches in which he bagged 134 wickets. His career ended with the best bowling figures of six for 31 runs. Broad also has 7 four-wicket and 3 five-wicket hauls to his name
