The Women's T20 World Cup 2024 triumph turned out to be historic for the "Black Caps" as they won their maiden title just a few hours after their men's side registered a historic victory against Team India in Test cricket

New Zealand captain, Sophie Devine, the newly crowned ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 champion, celebrates with the trophy at the stunning Guinness World Record-holding infinity pool, nearly 300 meters above the ground, at the Address Beach Resort in Dubai

Captain Sophie Devine was leading the New Zealand team for the last time. She and Suzie Bates have played in all nine T20 World Cups since the first in 2009. New Zealand reached the final of the first two tournaments in 2009 and 2010, losing to Australia on both occasions

Amelia Kerr was named as the "Player of the Match" for the finals against South Africa women's team. She scalped 15 wickets in the T20 World Cup 2024, following which she became the player with the most wickets in a single Women's T20 World Cup. With the willow, the right-hander accumulated 135 runs in the recently concluded tournament. For her stunning performances, she received the "Player of the Tournament" award

South Africa women's team failed to chase the target of 159 runs in the finals of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024. Earlier, in the year, the Proteas men's team fell short of claiming their hands on the elusive T20 World Cup 2024 trophy as they lost the final against Team India
