Anushka took to her Instagram story on Sunday to pen a sweet note for Virat Kohli after he scored his 28th Test century in the ongoing fourth and final Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. She said that he always manages to inspire her. Her note read, "Playing through sickness with this composure. Inspiring me always" followed by a red heart emoji. 

Days ago, Virat took to Instagram and strongly reacted as a video of his hotel room was leaked online without his consent. Anushka, much on the expected lines, came out in support of him and wrote, 'Have experienced few incidents where some fans have shown no compassion or grace in the past but this really is the worst thing. An absolute disgrace and violation of a human being and anyone who sees this and thinks celebrity ho! Toh deal karna padega should know that you are also part of the problem. Exercising some self-control helps everyone. Also if this is happening in your bedroom then where is the line?'

Virat Kohli has had a tough phase to overcome in his career and had later stepped down as the Test captain, drawing several major controversies. Anushka, penning a long note, extended her support to Kohli in these trying times. A part of her caption read, 'I am so proud of you for not letting anything come in the way of your good intentions. You led by example & gave winning on the field every ounce of your energy to the extent that after some losses I’ve sat next to you with tears in your eyes, while you wondered if there’s still something more you could have done. This is who you are & this is what you expected from everyone. You’ve been unconventional & straightforward. Pretence is your foe & this is what makes you great in my eyes & the eyes of your admirers.'

In his recent RCB (Royal Challengers Bangalore) podcast, Virat Kohli spoke at length about the massive sacrifices Anushka has made as a mother in the last two years. He said, 'The way things have been in the past two years, we have had our child and, as a mother, the sacrifices that she made have been massive. Looking at her, I realised whatever problems I had were nothing. As far as expectations are concerned, as long as your family loves you for who you are, you don’t expect much because that is the basic requirement.” He added, “Her outlook toward life was different and it urged me to change for the better and become more accepting of things.'

In another such podcast, Virat Kohli credited Anushka for making him ‘more sensible. The cricketer had said, 'I’ve learnt a lot, and become more sensible in the last 4 years all because of her. She’s taught me how to be more patient and taught me how to utilise the position you are into the fullest.
