Having won the toss, the USA elected to bowl first. Despite losing the early wicket of the opening batsman Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam scored 44 runs off 43 deliveries including 3 fours and 2 sixes

All-rounder Shadab Khan was the second-highest run-scorer from Pakistan's perspective. Facing 25 balls, Shadab accumulated 40 runs which were laced with 1 four and 3 sixes. No other "Green Shirts" batsmen were able to score many runs. Their innings ended with a score of 159 runs for the loss of seven wickets

USA's Nosthush Kenjige bagged three wickets for 30 runs. But Saurabh Netravalkar stole the limelight by conceding just 18 runs for two wickets in his four-over spell. Ali Khan and Jasdeep Singh registered one wicket each to their names

During the run chase of 160 runs, captain and opening batsman Monank Patel scored 50 runs in 38 balls including 7 fours and 1 six. Having needed to win five runs in just one ball, Nitish Kumar bashed a match-saving four for the States. The match was tied and entered the Super Over

USA's Aaron Jones playing all six deliveries set a target of 18 runs for Pakistan to win the match

In the Super Over, Pakistan's opening batsman Iftikhar Ahmed lost his wicket on four runs in Saurabh Netravalkar's over. The pacer managed to defend the target and the USA won the Super Over by five runs against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 match at Grand Prairie Stadium
