Batting first in the T20 World Cup 2024 match against Bangladesh, Afghanistan posted a total of 115 runs, thanks to opening batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz. He played a 43-run knock including 3 fours and 1 six

After Gurbaz's dismissal, captain Rashid Khan was the show stealer as he smashed three maximums facing just 10 balls. He stayed unbeaten on 19 runs with a strike rate of 190

Later, while defending the target, no wonder why Afghanistan is known for their bowling attack. Pacer Naveen-ul-Haq and star spinner Rashid Khan claimed four wickets each. Gulbadin Naib and Fazalhaq Farooqi too bagged one wicket each

In the second innings, Afghanistan's wicketkeeper-batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz had to leave the field following the injury. Mohammad Ishaq was the replacement player for Gurbaz

Later, Naveen claimed two wickets in his spell's last over and helped Afghanistan to qualify for the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2024
