Shikhar Dhawan is an Indian cricketer who opens the batting for the national team in ODIs, T20Is and Tests. He is one of the most successful openers in Indian cricket history.

Shikhar Dhawan made his ODI debut in October 2010. Dhawan has since played 139 matches and scored 5,808 runs at a healthy average of 45.02. His highest ODI score is 143 and he also has 17 centuries and 30 fifties in the 50-over format.

Shikhar Dhawan made his Test debut in March 2013. Since then, he has played 34 matches and scored 2,315 runs at an average of 40.61. Dhawan's top score is 190 and he has 7 centuries and five fifties to his name.

Shikhar Dhawan made his debut in T20 Internationals in June 2011. So far, Dhawan has played 61 matches and scored 1,588 runs at an average of 28.35. Dhawan has 10 fifties in the shortest format of the game with a top score of 92.

Shikhar Dhawan is also a seasoned war-horse in the IPL, having played for multiple teams in the league over the years. He played for Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in the first season of the IPL.

Shikhar Dhawan then played for Mumbai Indians in the second and third season before moving on to Deccan Chargers (now Sunrisers Hyderabad) in the fourth season.

After having a very successful five years at Sunrisers Hyderabad, Delhi Capitals bagged the southpaw for the IPL 2019 season.

Shikhar Dhawan was the second-highest run-scorer overall and top scorer for DC at the IPL 2020 season with 618 runs from 17 matches. He was the first batsman in IPL history to score two consecutive centuries.

Shikhar Dhawan and Aesha were engaged in 2009 and went on to get married in 2012.
