Shaun Tait, wife Mashoom Singha and sister-in-law Shamita Singha are a terrific trio

Former Australian speedster Shaun Tait celebrates his 39th birthday on February 22, 2022. Tait, one of the finest Australian pacers, is married to Indian model Mashoom Singha. Tait has been living a calm post-retirement life with his wife and daughter and is also very close to his sister-in-law Shamita. Shaun Tait is a former Australian fast bowler who played for all three formats of cricket.

Shaun Tait is married to Indian model Mashoom Singha. After meeting during the IPL 2010, they dated for 4 years, before tying the knot on June 12, 2014.

Shaun Tait's wife Mashoom Singha is a swimsuit model and a wine entrepreneur.

Shaun Tait and his wife Mashoom Singha have a daughter together named Wynter.

Mashoom Singha has a sister named Shamita Singha, is a former model who won Femina Miss Earth India in 2001 and a semifinalist at Miss Earth 2001. She is a TV anchor, VJ, beauty queen and activist.

In 2004, Shaun Tait won the Don Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year award.

Shaun Tait made his Test debut in August 2005. He played 3 Tests with 5 wickets taken. His last Test was played in 2008

Shaun Tait made his ODI debut in February 2007 against England. Tait played 35 ODIs before retiring in 2011 following Australia's exit from the World Cup.

Shaun Tait has taken 62 wickets in ODIs at an average of 23.56. His best figures are 4/39.

Shaun Tait has also played 50 first-class matches. He has taken 198 wickets at an average of 28.59. His best bowling is 7/29

In 2007, Shaun Tait was the recipient of the Lord Hampden Trophy and ICC Emerging Player of the Year awards.

During the 2007 World Cup, Shaun Tait replaced Brett Lee in the squad and put up a brilliant show becoming the joint second-leading wicket taker in the tournament with 23 wickets at an average of 20.30.

In 2010, during an ODI against England at Lord's, Shaun Tait bowled his fastest delivery at 161.1kph. This is the joint second-fastest delivery in cricket along with Brett Lee.

Shaun Tait's bowling action was often compared to another former pacer, Jeff Thomson.

Shaun Tait's nickname has been dubbed 'The Wild Thing.'

Shaun Tait, although praised for his fierce fast bowling, was also considered expensive and inconsistent with his deliveries, thus bowling many extras.

Shaun Tait has played for IPL franchises such as Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders. 

Shaun Tait has played a total of 21 IPL matches taking 23 wickets at a bowling average of 27.82. His best figures are 3/13.

Besides that Shaun Tait has played for many domestic cricket teams such as  Melbourne Renegades, Hobart Hurricanes, Adelaide Strikers at BBL, Chittagong Kings, Mid West Rhinos, Lahore Qalandars, Peshawar Zalmi, Durham and Glamorgan.

Due to a chronic injury, Shaun Tait announced his retirement from all cricket in March 2017.

In List A cricket, Shaun Tait played 101 matches taking 182 wickets at an average of 23.84. His best bowling figures are 8/43.

Shaun Tait's best T20 bowling figures came in the South Australia vs Royal Challengers Bangalore match - 5/32.
