KL Rahul: Comeback is always stronger than the setback!

KL Rahul a 31-year-old was born in Bengaluru, Karnataka. He debuted for India as a wicketkeeper-batsman in tests against Australia in the year 2014. Rahul's ODI debut was made against Zimbabwe on 11 June 2016 in which he scored a century and became the first Indian cricketer to score a 100 on their debut. KL debuted in T20Is for India on 18 June 2016 against Zimbabwe

KL Rahul is currently the captain of Lucknow Super Giants team in IPL. Earlier, he was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2013 and 2016, then he joined Sunrisers Hyderabad and played for them for over a year spanning 2014 to 2015. He was then selected by Punjab Kings where he captained the team from 2018 to 2021

KL Rahul suffered from a thigh injury during a match against Royal Challengers Banglore in IPL 2023. He underwent thigh surgery after that and was limping for a while. Medical experts prescribed him to rest to recover from the injury. Speculators criticised him during this phase. His position in the team became doubtful due to fitness reasons

KL Rahul returned from the injury and was added to India's squad for the Asia Cup 2023. KL Rahul got to play a match against Pakistan due to Shreyas Iyer's back spasm. Rahul smashed an unbeaten 111 runs in 141 balls. Post-match in an interview, Rahul said he was told at the last minute that he was in the playing XI for that day's match. After his incredible knock, he justified the saying, 'When life gives you lemons, make a lemonade'

KL Rahul can be called a complete team man he keeps, he opens and he even bats at no.4 which has been a topic of discussion for Team India for a long time

From the current performances of KL Rahul, it seems like he is back in his, what experts describe as 'KLass Rahul' form. He helped Team India to stabilise the batting with Virat Kohli after the early wicket losses in the first match of the ICC World Cup 2023
