In his debut match of the tournament, Tendulkar delivered when it mattered most, yielding only 17 runs in 2 overs against Kolkata Knight Riders, although he failed to scalp a wicket.

The 23-year-old pacer turned heads after bowling a brilliant 20th over in extreme pressure as Mumbai Indians trounced Sunrisers Hyderabad by 14 runs to register their third successive win here at Uppal in Hyderabad on Tuesday.

Tendulkar has scalped 12 wickets and amassed 223 runs with the willow for his domestic team Goa in the seven first-class matches so far. In 11 T20s, he has scalped 13 wickets and scored 20 runs. The left-arm pacer hogged limelight during Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy when he bagged four wickets and conceded only 10 runs against Hyderabad in four overs.

While most left-arm seamers swing the ball away from the right-handed batters, Tendulkar has an innate ability to swing the ball for the right-handed batters. The right-handed batters are prone to struggling against left-arm seamers, mostly when the ball is swinging into the right-handed batters.

Tendulkar seems to have already begun carving a niche for himself in the blue-clad jersey, having honed his skills under the tutelage of none other than legendary Sachin. The presence of Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma alongside other influential personalities in the coaching set-up augurs well for his cricketing career.
