Team India registered an unwanted record in their name on the second day of the first test match against New Zealand. The Indian side saw an unexpected collapse in their batting lineup as they were bowled out for just 46 runs in the first innings
Having dismissed the "Black Caps" for 402 in their first innings, the Indian batsmen went all guns blazing to pull the match in their favour
Opening the innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal departed after scoring 35 runs in 52 balls. During his knock, he smashed 6 fours with a strike rate of 67.31
Team India skipper Rohit Sharma continued to momentum and smashed 52 runs off 63 deliveries including 8 fours and 1 six. The right-hander was batting with a strike rate of 82.54 but was dismissed in an unlucky way
Stalwart Virat Kohli found himself among the runs yet again as he scored 70 runs off 102 balls. The veteran smashed 8 fours and 1 six. With this, Kohli attained another milestone in his illustrious career. He completed 9,000 runs in Test cricket
Explosive batsman Sarfaraz Khan did not take a step back and continued to play aggressive cricket. The youngster is still unbeaten after playing 78 balls. He will begin day four with a score of 70 runs which is laced with 7 fours and 3 sixes
Team India ended day three with a score of 231 runs for the loss of three wickets. They now trail by 125 runs in the first Test match against New Zealand
