Australia skipper Pat Cummins won the toss and elected to bowl first against the undefeated India. The 'Men in Blue' captain Rohit Sharma again gave an elevated start to his team by bashing Aussie bowlers for boundaries

India lost the early wicket of Shubman Gill. The Aussie speedster Pat Cummins made the first breakthrough for his team by dismissing Gill for just four runs. Adam Zampa makes no mistake at the mid-on and grabs the catch

Virat Kohli entered the ground to should Rohit Sharma to guide India to a fighting total. But Glenn Maxwell managed to strike another wicket for Australia. The Indian skipper smashed 47 runs before getting caught in the hands of Travis Head. India were on 80 runs and lost two wickets at the end of powerplay 1

After the loss of wickets, Shreyas Iyer joined Virat Kohli in the middle. Iyer started his innings by smashing a four, but later departed early in Pat Cummins' over. India lost three wickets in 11 overs. Thereafter, KL Rahul and Kohli stabilized India's innings

Man in form Virat Kohli stood strong in the middle and smashed 54 runs in 63 balls including 4 fours. Aussie skipper Pat Cummins bowled out Kohli. The right-hander stood there in disbelief as the Narendra Modi Stadium stunned there in silence. Further, Ravindra Jadeja came in to bat in the place of Suryakumar Yadav

After Kohli's wicket, Rahul took over the control to guide India further. He completed his fifty in 86 deliveries. Jadeja departed after scoring nine runs. Suryakumar Yadav waiting in the dugout entered the ground

India lost the wicket of set batsman KL Rahul at the crucial time. Rahul played a knock of 66 runs including just 1 four. After his dismissal, Australia picked another two wickets of India's pacers Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah. Despite the fall of wickets, Suryakumar kept batting

India lost the wickets of Suryakumar Yadav in Josh Hazlewood's over. Australia's lead pacer Mitchell Starc struck three wickets by conceding 55 runs. The Aussies bowled out the 'Men in Blue' for 240 runs in the ICC World Cup 2023 final
