Newlands Cricket Ground
The second Test match between India and South Africa was played at the Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town. Winning the toss, South Africa batted first in the match. The Proteas team kept losing wickets in a quick session and were bowled out for just 55 runs in the first innings, all thanks to Mohammed Siraj who delivered an exceptional show with the ball. Siraj bagged six wickets by conceding just 15 runs. Later, Team India faced a tragic collapse in their batting. They went from 153 for four wickets to 153 all out. In the second innings, South Africa smashed 176 and Team India on the second day chased the target and won the match by seven wickets. The Test match between India and South Africa ended as the shortest test match with just 107 overs played
Melbourne Cricket Ground
A 1935 Test match between Australia and South Africa took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. In the first innings, the Aussies batsmen smashed 153 runs. Later South Africa recorded their lowest total in Test cricket and were bowled out for 36 and 45 runs. The match ended in just 109.2 overs
Kensington Oval
Kensington Oval a cricket stadium in Bridgetown witnessed the third shortest Test match in history. The 1935 Test match between England and West Indies lasted for only 112 overs. In the fourth innings, England successfully chased the target of 75 runs against the hosts West Indies
Old Trafford Cricket Ground
The 1888 Test match between England and Australia is the fourth shortest-ever test match in cricketing history. During that time, the test cricket was played with the rule of four balls per over. But it did not affect England's dominance in the match and they secured the win over Australia by an innings and 21 runs
Lords Cricket Ground
The home of cricket, Lords Cricket Ground witnessed the fifth shortest test match in history. In 1888, in the first innings of the game, Australia put on a total of 116 runs and England on the other hand were bowled out for just 53 runs in their first innings. The Aussies team struggled to score huge runs in the second innings and skittled for just 60 runs. England successfully chased the target and won the match in 197 overs.
