Duleep Trophy, a prestigious tournament in Indian domestic cricket, concluded on Sunday with South Zone overcoming the defending champions West Zone to clinch their 14th title in tournament history. Prabhsimran Singh - North Zone
Punjab batter Prabhsimran Singh is an underrated domestic talent who shined brightly in North Zone’s Duleep Trophy campaign as he became the highest run-scorer, amassing 202 runs in four innings. His impressive batting figures include two half-centuries.
Mayank Agarwal – South Zone
Mayank Agarwal proved to be immensely valuable for South Zone as he scored 193 runs in four innings, placing him third on the list of highest run-scorers. Mayank, who has travelled with the national team in the past, also completed 7000 runs in First-Class cricket during the Duleep trophy final.
Harshit Rana – North Zone
Harshit Rana displayed an all-round impressive performance as he contributed with both bat and ball. He smashed his maiden First-Class century against North East Zone and went on to score 191 runs in three innings. He also took seven wickets in the tournament.
Saurabh Kumar – Central Zone
Sourabh Kumar topped the wicket-taking charts of the tournament with 16 scalps in four innings at an economy of 2.98, his best bowling figures being 3/84. (Pic: Getty Images)
Vidwath Kaverappa – South Zone
The star of the Duleep Trophy final and the ‘Player of the Series’ Vidwath Kaverappa produced an exceptional bowling effort as he took 15 wickets in four innings. The highlight of his performance in the tournament was the seven-for against West Zone in the final.
