Having needed to bat first, Virat Kohli scored 27 runs before getting dismissed by Ishant Sharma. Faf du Plessis failed to score huge runs as his innings ended for 6 runs

Facing 29 balls, Will Jacks smashed 42 runs. Rajat Patidar on the other hand, scored 52 runs which were laced with 3 fours and 3 sixes

Later, after Patidar and Jacks' dismissals, all-rounder Cameron Green accumulated 32 runs which helped the side post 187 against DC

In the run chase of 188 runs, DC opener David Warner returned to the pavilion after scoring just one run. Jake Fraser-McGurk was only able to score 21 runs

Shai Hope in the middle scored 29 runs before getting caught in Lockie Ferguson's over

Stand-in captain Axar Patel who was leading in place of Rishabh Pant scored 57 runs but was unable to take the team home. During his knock, he smashed 5 fours and 3 sixes

Pacer Yash Dayal was the standout bowler for RCB. Dayal in his 3.1 overs conceded 20 runs and bagged three wickets

Lockie Ferguson from another end registered two wickets for 23 runs in four overs

Swapnil Singh, Mohammed Siraj and Cameron Green claimed one wicket each

Royal Challengers Bengaluru won their fifth consecutive win of the IPL 2024 and are now in the fifth position with a net run rate of +0.387

They will now clash with Chennai Super Kings on May 18 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB now needs to win the game against CSK by chasing a target in 18 overs or by 18 runs

It will be a do-or-die match for both teams
