India's lead pacer Jasprit Bumrah created history by becoming the first ever Indian pacer to top the ICC Test rankings charts. Previously, only Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and legendary Bishan Singh Bedi were the only three Indian bowlers to attain the top spot

Bishan Singh Bedi was the first India's spin bowler to attain the top spot in the ICC Test Rankings. He represented India in 67 tests and registered 266 wickets. Bedi also has 14 five-wicket hauls and 1 ten-wicket haul in the longest format of the game registered to his name

Ravichandran Ashwin

India's veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has achieved the feat twice in his cricketing career. In 2016, the star spinner jumped to the number one spot in the ICC Test rankings. He managed to maintain the spot for six months. Later, in 2023, Ashwin again regained the top spot and dominated it for 11 months

Ravindra Jadeja

Lead spinner Ravindra Jadeja is the third spinner from India to achieve the feat. In March 2017, he was crowned as the number 1 test bowler in the ICC rankings and was able to maintain the spot till August 2017
