The "Men in Blue" is all set to lock horns with the "Proteas" for the second ODI clash at Saint George's Park. The match will start at 4.30 pm. KL Rahul-led Indian team is leading the three-match ODI series with 1-0 against South Africa

After facing a defeat against India, the hosts will now aim to secure a win in today's match which will keep them alive in the series. In the first ODI, none of the South African batsmen were able to score many runs. They will look to avoid mistakes they made in the previous game

Shreyas Iyer who played a knock 52 runs in the opening game of the ODI series will not feature in the second ODI. He has joined India's Test squad ahead of the two-match Test series against South Africa, starting from December 26

The void of Shreyas Iyer in the Indian team will provide an opportunity for Rinku Singh or Rajat Patidar to secure their spots in the team

The World wants to witness more impressive knocks by left-hander Rinku Singh. He showed the temperament and ability to play on the South African wickets which has more bounce as compared to other countries. The Indian team management has very specific roles for players and while Rinku is being looked upon as a finisher at No. 6, the 30-year-old Patidar is more of a specialist No. 4 when he bats for his state team Madhya Pradesh

However, the Indore-based right-hander Rajat Patidar made it to India's ODI team back in 2022 but in the past year had to struggle and underwent heel surgery earlier this year

Not much change in the bowling combination. The bowling department will not need much tinkering after a near-perfect performance from Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan

The opening game witnessed the debut of young left-handed opener B Sai Sudharsan, whose silken half-century held a lot of promise going into the future
