During the fifth test match against England, Ravichandran Ashwin attained a huge milestone in his test career. He bagged five wickets for India in the second essay. With this, he broke the record of legendary Anil Kumble of most fifers in Tests for India. Ashwin now has 36 test-fifers to his name
Anil Kumble
Previously, Anil Kumble held the record for most fifers for India in tests. Representing the country in 132 test matches, the former spinner registered 35 five-wicket hauls to his name. Kumble had a total of 619 test wickets on his account
Harbhajan Singh
Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh comes third on the list with 25 fifers in tests. He played 103 test matches and had 417 wickets for India in the format
Kapil Dev
The fourth place is in the name of Legendary India's former captain Kapil Dev. He made his test appearance in 131 matches and had 434 wickets to his name. He also has 23 fifers registered in the game's traditional format
Bhagwat Chandrasekhar
Bhagwat Chandrasekhar is the fifth bowler with the most five-wicket hauls for India in Test cricket. Having represented the side in 58 tests, the former spinner bagged 242 wickets including 16 fifers
