Yashasvi Jaiswal showcased his class by scoring a century on the first day of the second test match between India and England. Later, he achieved the milestone of completing a double century in test cricket. His innings ended with a score of 209 runs in 290 deliveries including 19 fours and 7 sixes

On the other hand, even Shubman Gill outclassed England by smashing a ton in India's second innings. Gill who struggled to score runs in the previous test innings accumulated 104 runs off 147 balls. His knock was laced with 11 fours and 2 sixes

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill became the first Indian duo to score centuries in the same test match before turning 25. Previously, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly smashed centuries against England in the Nottingham Test in the year 1996

In the third test match against England, India great Sachin Tendulkar bashed the English bowlers for 177 runs in 360 balls including 26 fours

In the same match, former India skipper Sourav Ganguly scored 136 runs in 268 balls. His innings included 17 fours and 2 sixes. In 1996, he aged 24 years

Team India's opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal later in the match completed his double-century on day two. With this, he also became the third youngest Indian batsman to score a double century in the traditional format of the game
