India's 'run-machine' Virat Kohli levelled the record for most ODI centuries with Sachin Tendulkar which is 49. Kohli achieved this milestone in the ICC World Cup 2023 match between India and South Africa in Kolkata at Eden Gardens. Currently, he is just one ton away from becoming the player to register the most number of centuries in the history of ODI cricket

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma surpassed the record of Sachin Tendulkar of scoring most ODI World up hundreds which was six. Currently, the Indian skipper holds the record for most ODI World Cup centuries by a player which is seven. Sharma achieved this milestone in the ICC World Cup 2023 match against Afghanistan by smashing a blistering 131 runs. His knock included 16 fours and 5 sixes

The ICC World Cup 2023 match between India and Sri Lanka in Mumbai at Wankhede Stadium saw the domination of Indian players. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first. Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer's knocks helped India to set a target of 358 runs. Later, Indian bowlers outplayed Sri Lanka for just 55 runs. Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj picked five and three wickets, respectively. India registered their biggest ODI World Cup win against Sri Lanka by 302 runs

Mohammed Shami surpassed the record of Zaheer Khan and Javagal Srinath for most wickets for India in the ODI World Cups. Shami currently has 47 ODI World Cup wickets. He also registered his name for the most five-wicket hauls in the ODI World Cup with Mitchell Starc. Only these two bowlers have 3 five-wicket hauls in the ODI World Cup so far

Mohammed Shami also achieved his best bowling figures in ODI cricket. He picked five wickets conceding just 18 runs against Sri Lanka
