Australia's lead pacer Mitchell Starc enjoys the first position in the list of active players to take five wickets in a single innings. In the Carlton Mid Triangular series in Australia in the year 2015, Mitchell Starc struck six wickets against India. He bowled 10 overs and conceded just 43 runs including two maiden overs

India's spinner Yuzvendra Chahal who has been not added to India's ICC World Cup 2023 squad is the second player on the list. In the third ODI between India and Australia, Chahal dismissed six of Australia's players. He bowled a spell of 10 overs conceding 42 runs

Australia's skipper Pat Cummins is the third position holder. In the fourth ODI between India and Australia in the year 2019, Cummins registered five wickets under his name against India. His 10-over spell conceded 70 runs

Mitchell Starc who is in the first position also has his name registered for the fourth spot. In 2019 during the second ODI between India and Australia, Starc with his fierce pace picked five wickets of Indian batsmen for just 53 runs. That day he achieved his fifer in his eight overs spell

In 2023, India's star speedster Mohammed Shami in a match at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium registered a five-wicket haul under his name. In a spell of 10 overs, he bowled one maiden and conceded 51 runs
