ICC World Cup 2023: Aussies clinch their sixth title!

India lost the early wicket of their opening batsman Shubman Gill, but Rohit Sharma continued to give an aggressive start to his team. Later the Indian skipper missed his well-deserved half-century by just three runs. Australia's star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell registered the wicket of Rohit Sharma to his name

Shreyas Iyer followed Sharma's departed soon after scoring just a boundary in three deliveries. Thereafter, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul stabilized India's inning by smashing 54 and 66 runs, respectively. Suryakumar Yadav scored 18 runs and India set a target of 241 runs for the Australians to chase down

Australia's lead pacer Mitchell Starc struck three wickets by conceding 55 runs in his 10-over spell. Josh Hazlewood and skipper Pat Cummins both registered two wickets each to their names. Glenn Maxwell got the important wicket of Rohit Sharma and Adam Zampa registered the wicket of India's pacer Jasprit Bumrah

After the end of the first innings, India's star bowler Mohammed Shami didn't let the Indian fans' hopes down. He struck the wicket of Australia's opening batsman David Warner in the very first over. They lost the wickets of Mitchell Marsh and Steve Smith in quick succession. Jasprit Bumrah and Shami brought India back into the game by striking early wickets of Australia's top-order

Despite the fall of wickets, Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne stood strong in the middle for Australia. Both dominated India's bowling attack. Labuschagne played an unbeaten knock of 58 runs in 110 balls including 4 fours

Travis Head played marvellous innings to guide Australia to its sixth ODI World Cup title. He smashed 137 runs in 120 balls laced by 15 fours and 4 sixes. Head played with a strike rate of 114. 17

Australia's star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell scored the winning runs and the five-time champions clinched their sixth ODI World Cup title on Sunday. Australia won the match against India by six wickets

Despite the loss in the final match, the 'Men in Blue' displayed an extraordinary show in all aspects throughout the tournament. India's wait for their third ODI World Cup title continues
