Parthiv Patel is an Indian cricketer who plays for the Gujarat state team and has also represented India in ODIs, Tests and T20Is.

Parthiv Patel is a wicket-keeper and a left-handed batsman. He is known for his cover drives and flick shots.

Parthiv Patel was part of the IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2020 under then captain Virat Kohli.

Parthiv Patel married Avnee Zveri in 2008 and have been going strong ever since.

Parthiv Patel played for Chennai Super Kings during the inaugural IPL back in 2008. In 13 matches, he scored 302 runs including 2 fifties.

In the 2011 Indian Premier League, Parthiv Patel was bought by Kochi Tuskers, where he was also made the captain of the team in the latter half of the season. In 14 games, he managed only 202 runs.

Parthiv Patel played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013. He played 13 games scoring 294 runs with a best of 61.

In 2014, Parthiv Patel played for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He could only manage 205 runs in 12 games that he played.

Parthiv Patel was signed by Mumbai Indians in 2015, where he played as an opener along with Rohit Sharma. In his first season, he scored 339 runs in 14 games including 2 fifties. In 2017 he had his best IPL season with 395 runs scored including 2 fifties.

Parthiv Patel was purchased by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2018 IPL auction but played only 6 matches. The following year in 2019, Parthiv scored 373 runs in 14 games with 2 fifties.

Parthiv Patel made his Test debut in 2002 and was the youngest wicket-keeper to play an international Test match.

Parthiv Patel played 25 Tests scoring 934 runs at an average above 31. He has 6 fifties to his name.

Making his ODI debut n 2002 as well, Parthiv Patel played 38 matches scoring 738 runs averaging above 23 with 4 fifties under his belt.

Parthiv Patel played 194 first-class matches with 11,240 runs scored including 27 centuries and 62 fifties. His top score is 206.

TRIVIA: Parthiv Patel lost a finger at the age of 9. He would find it difficult to keep wickets but somehow managed to get accustomed to it with loads of practice.

In December 2020, Parthiv Patel announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.

Parthiv Patel was then selected in the role of a talent scout for IPL team Mumbai Indians.
