Musheer raised a well-calculated double hundred off 350 balls, studded with 18 fours, while putting on two crucial partnerships to lead the recovery for Mumbai who were reeling at 99 for four at one stage on Day 1
Musheer, the younger brother of India batter Sarfaraz Khan, came into the playing eleven as a replacement for the injured all-rounder Shivam Dube
Coming in to bat at No. 3 on Friday, Musheer did well to stop the slide with a 43-run stand for the fifth wicket with Suryansh Shedge (20), followed by a splendid unbeaten 106-run stand for the sixth wicket with Hardik Tamore
"My job is far from done but I am very happy since it is my first (first-class) hundred. I will try to take the game as far as possible," Musheer told the media after the match. "My mindset was to keep speaking with my partner and play for the remainder of the day. It was not an easy wicket and the idea was to go for the boundary balls or else keep working with the singles," he added.
