John Hastings is a former Australian all-rounder and bowls right-arm fast-medium. Hastings has played IPL teams such as Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders besides other domestic sides such as Victoria, Melbourne Stars, Quetta Gladiators, Worcestershire and Durham.
John Hastings played his one and only Test in November 2012 against South Africa. He scored 32 runs and took 1 wicket.
John Hastings made his ODI debut in October 2010 and played his last ODI in June 2017.
Hastings played 29 ODIs with 271 runs and 42 wickets to his name. His highest score is 51.
In 2018, John Hastings was forced to retire due to a career-threatening health problem. Hastings had coughed up blood during a match while bowling.
John Hastings married his longtime sweetheart Briannan after years of dating.

After a long vacation, John Hastings shared a series of photos with a detailed message of their travels and a heartwarming message: Well that’s it. All done and dusted 11 different countries 8 different islands 14 flights 17 trains 14 tours 66 days of pure happiness. Ticked all the boxes met some unbelievable people along the way. Ate all the food drank all the wine got all the sun. Had some seriously great life experiences. I am so bloody grateful for it all. Time to get home to our beautiful dogs and get on with the second part of our lives.
John Hastings went on to continue saying, "I honestly can not thank my superstar wife enough. Not just for being an awesome travel partner/legend but for making this happen and basically planning everything all went so smoothly hard to believe we pulled it off but we did. I had the time of my life.I am one bloody lucky person."

But in this case we were soo lucky the places the ppl the wine the food were unbelievable extremely lucky. No posts for a while haha," he continued in his post
John Hastings finally concluded saying, "But not for long as there are some really exciting things in the pipeline can not wait to get home and get cracking. Also can’t wait to get on with the next chapter of our lives one small part is just about finished but the next part the huge part is just beginning."
