Bandra's 19-year-old Jemimah Rodrigues is a superstar of Indian cricket

Jemimah Rodrigues with Smriti Mandhana

Jemimah Rodrigues is an all-rounder who plays for the Indian national team. She represents Mumbai women's cricket team in the domestic circuit.

Jemimah Rodrigues, born on September 5, 2000, has also played hockey for the U-17 Maharashtra team.

Jemimah Rodrigues was born and brought-up in the Mumbai suburb of Bhandup. She has two elder brothers Eli and Enoch.

Jemimah Rodrigues and her family moved to Bandra a few years ago to avail better sports facilities. She suggests that people have now started noticing her in and around Bandra after she became a regular in the Indian cricket team.

Jemimah Rodrigues and Smriti Mandhana, another star batsman in the Indian team, are known to be BFFs off the field, Jemima revealed in a mid-day interview, "From the time I made my debut for India she has been my room partner on most occasions. We have a good bonding on and off the field. She is very dedicated in whatever she does. She is someone who always takes responsibility; never blames others when things don't go well. She always says, 'Had I stayed there we could have won'. And if we win because of her, she credits the entire team for it."

Jemimah Rodriques did her schooling from St. Joseph's Convent High School, Mumbai and later studied in Rizvi College of Arts, Science & Commerce.

Jemimah Rodrigues made her Women's Twenty20 International debut for India against South Africa on 13 February 2018. The all-rounder then made her Women's One Day International debut for India Women against Australia on 12 March 2018.
