Ayush Vaity, 15, continued his impressive bowling and picked up five wickets in the second successive match on Friday. The medium-pacer took 5-36 as Swami Vivekanand International School (SVIS), Borivli, beat Parle Tilak Vidyalaya English (Vile Parle) by six wickets in a league match of the MSSA Harris Shield tournament, at Cross Maidan. Ayush had taken 5-23 as SVIS had beaten VPMS (Dahisar) by 8 wickets in the Rd Two. The win saw SVIS enter the two-day semi-final against IES New English School (Bandra) to be played on Sunday and Monday at the Sachin Tendulkar Gymkhana in Kandivli. SVIS restricted Parle Tilak to 183-9 in 45 overs. Opener Raza Mirza top-scored with 61. In reply, SVIS chased down the target (185 for 4) in 29 overs. Defending champs Al Barkaat will take on IES VN Sule Guruji in the second semi-final on Saturday and Sunday at the MCA-BKC ground.

Agney scores double ton

The other highlight of the day was a massive double century Al Barkaat's Agney Aadi. The youngster scored a mammoth unbeaten 259 runs as Al Barkaat posted 438-4 to beat Saraswati Mandir High School by 358 runs.

Ayush Mhatre of IES VN Sule Guruji also notched up a century. He scored 177 as the Dadar school posted 299-2 against Shardashram Vidyamandir English. In reply, Shardashram were bowled out for 191 in 36.2 overs.

The other centurion for the day was Rizvi Springfield's Auwaab Kunni. He scored 166 as the Bandra outfit posted 422-5. In reply, VK Krishna Menon, Borivli, managed just 116-4 off their 45 overs.
