Mumbai's prolific run-scorer Suryakumar Yadav will be with India's Test team soon. Suryakumar, 31, who scored a 40-ball 62 in India's five-wicket win over New Zealand in the first T20I at Jaipur last week, has been asked to join the Ajinkya Rahane-led India's Test team in Kanpur.
After a 3-0 triumph in T20I series, India will play two Tests against the Kiwis, beginning in Kanpur on Thursday.
Suryakumar has represented the country in 11 T20Is, scoring 244 runs. He has played three ODIs and was part of India's Test squad in England last September.
"Suryakumar will be making a comeback to the Test team. He will join India's Test team in Kanpur from Kolkata," a source told mid-day.com on Monday.
