"Never forget that the West Indies has won the ICC T20 World Cup twice. Remember also, the match-winners and impact players they have given to the different franchises like Universe Boss Chris Gayle, Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and the latest one, Nicholas Pooran.
"Comparisons are seldom fair but look at their performances and then look at those of the big money players from other countries and you will agree that they give more bang for the bucks than the fizzle of the others," Gavaskar wrote in his Sunday Mid-day column.
