Riding on Suryansh Shedge's all-round performance (117 and 5-48) Rizvi College thrashed Siddharth College by 332 runs in their opening match of the Mumbai Cricket Association's inter-college tournament at Dadkar Maidan in Matunga on Saturday.
Batting first, Rizvi posted a mammoth score of 506-7 in 34 overs thanks to opener Karan Shah (86), Vedant Murkar (84 not out) and Pragnesh Kanpillewar (51). Siddharth College were bundled out for just 174 in 27.3 overs by leggie Shedge and left-arm spinner Kanpillewar's two for 27.
