Devon Conway blitzed his way to 87, his third half century on the trot in this IPL season, as Chennai Super Kings piled on 208-6 against Delhi Capitals at the DY Patil Stadium here on Sunday.
Striking the ball cleanly, the left-handed opener slammed five sixes and seven four in his 49-ball knock and put the Capitals bowling to the sword, first in the company of fellow-opener Ruturaj Gaikwad (41 in 33 balls) and then Shivam Dube (32).
At the time of going to press, DC were 59-2 in six overs.
Conway and Ruturaj posted the second century stand of the season for CSK by adding 110 in 11 overs and then the former and Dube stitched a partnership of 59 for the second wicket.

Conway took a particular liking for Kuldeep Yadav's left-arm wrist spin and repeatedly used his feet to come out and hammer the Chinaman bowler for fours and sixes.
Having reached his third successive half century of the season in 27 balls, Conway and Gaikwad helped CSK post 100 for no loss at the halfway stage of their innings.
Gaikwad, was out to a mishit pull shot off Nortje.
After another fruitful stand both Conway and Dube, who struck two sixes and as many fours, departed in the space of five balls.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni then made a quick 21 not out in eight balls and CSK, 169 at the fall of Conway, crossed the 200-run mark.
Left-arm pacer Khaleel Ahmed was easily the best bowler on view with a haul of 2-28, including the wicket of Conway, while Nortje picked up the wickets of Ambati Rayudu and Robin Uthappa in successive balls to finish with 3 for 42.
Kuldeep went for 43 runs in three overs while Shardul was taken out for 38 without a wicket to his name.
