David Warner
Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Trevor Bayliss played down David Warner's exit talk after the Australian hinted that he would miss the remaining four matches of the IPL.
Warner watched SRH thrash Rajasthan Royals from his hotel room in Dubai as the Orange Army comfortably chased down RR's 164-5, thanks to half-centuries from Jason Roy (60), who replaced Warner, and skipper Kane Williamson (51 not out).
That Warner's season could be over was assumed after his response to an Instagram post by a fan, who urged him to rest before returning. "Unfortunately won't be again, but please keep supporting," Warner replied.
Warner, who played a match-winning 38-ball 69 against Royal Challengers Bangalore to help SRH win the IPL title in 2016, was on Monday dropped from the 18-member squad.

While Bayliss clarified that Warner stayed back at the hotel to provide youngsters the experience of IPL games, the coach made it clear that no decision had been taken on the Aussie's future.
"That [exit from SRH] certainly has not been discussed. It is something that...this is the last year before a major auction. Those decisions will be made further down the line," Bayliss said during a post-match virtual press conference on Monday.
Warner, 34, who is among the Top-5 IPL run-getters with 5,449 from 150 games, has struggled this IPL with 195 runs in eight games.
"He [Warner] has been a great contributor to the SRH for a number of years now. He is very well respected with the amount of runs he has scored. I am sure he has got a lot more runs in him yet in the IPL," Bayliss added.
