Team India seem to be struggling at the Narendra Modi Stadium as the hosts posted a total of 80 runs for the loss of four wickets at lunch on Day 2 of the fourth and final Test match against England in Ahmedabad today.
At lunch, Rohit Sharma was unbeaten at the crease on 32 runs from the 106 balls he faced hitting 4 boundaries. It surely seems that he has a huge task ahead of him today. Rishabh Pant and the lower-order batsman will need to provide the much-needed support to Rohit if India look to surpass England's total and take a respectable lead.
Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara resumed play but it was not too long before the Saurashtra batsman was dismissed by Jack Leach for 17 of the 66 balls he faced.
What followed next was a shocker! India captain Virat Kohli, who seemingly found some form during the series, was dismissed by Ben Stokes for a duck when keeper Ben Foakes caught him. Kohli only faced 8 deliveries. This is reportedly the second instance where Virat Kohli has gone for 2 ducks in a series. The last time that occurred was in 2014.

Ajinkya Rahane seemed to be getting into the scheme of things before he was lopped up by Anderson on the last ball before lunch was declared. Rahane scored 27 from the 45 balls he faced.
After dismissing the visitors for 205 runs on Day 1, India was at 24 runs for the loss of 1 wicket at stumps. Opener Shubman Gill was bowled out after facing 3 balls from pacer James Anderson.
Team India will need to avoid a loss at any cost in order to make it to the World Test Championship final against New Zealand at Lord's.
