In the IND vs ENG 2nd Test, Rohit Sharma will have a lot of responsibility with the lack of services of experienced players. England is leading the five-match test series against India with 1-0 after securing a win in the first game.
India's star batsman Virat Kohli opted out of the first two tests due to personal reasons. Madhya Pradesh's Rajat Patidar was named as a replacement player in his place but did not feature in the first test.
Later in the month, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja were ruled out of the IND vs ENG 2nd Test due to injuries. The injury blows of these two veterans provided an opportunity to Sarfaraz Khan, Washington Sundar and Sourabh Kumar.
