After Afghanistan recorded their historic win against Pakistan, the ICC World Cup 2023 now heads towards its match 23. Today, South Africa will clash with Bangladesh in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium. The coin for the toss will be flipped at 1.30 pm and the match will start at 2.00 pm.
In ODI history, South Africa has shown pure dominance over Bangladesh. South Africa and Bangladesh have faced each other in 24 ODI matches till now, out of which the Proteas have come victorious in 18 matches and the Bengal Tigers have won just six matches.

So far in the ICC World Cup 2023, Bangladesh have played four matches and has won just one game whereas South Africa played four matches out of which they have won on three occasions. South Africa sits in the third spot in the team ranking list with six points and Bangladesh is in seventh place with two points.

In today's match, the Proteas will have an advantage against the Bengal Tigers as they have played their previous match in the Wankhede Stadium against England. South Africa's Marco Jansen and Heinrich Klassen played impressive knocks in Wankhede Stadium and will definitely have a sense of the pitch.
Bangladesh will play today's match after facing a defeat in their previous match against the hosts. They will look to avoid the mistakes they made and will fetch small opportunities which will help them register their second win in the tournament.
South African cricket team will have enough confidence to face Bangladesh, keeping their ODI records in mind. The win in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium will also boost their performance for today's clash.
Bangladesh played their last match under the leadership of their stand-by captain Najmul Hossain Shanto as Shakib Al Hasan didn't play the match due to health reasons. Liton Das has been consistently performing for Bangladesh and will be one of the players to watch out for in today's match.
